This morning, a gunshot in Houston, Texas, claimed the life of rapper Takeoff from the Migos group.
On Tuesday at 2:30 am, the rapper known by the stage name Kirshnik Khari Ball and a companion were shot.
Authorities claim that an altercation started when Takeoff and his bandmate and uncle Quavo were playing dice close to the third-floor bowling lane.
“There were a few security personnel present. No one saw who carried out the shooting, but they heard it. During a press conference this morning, HPD Lieutenant R. Wilkens remarked.
There were a lot of people there. In front of the bar, they were. People gathered on the balcony area even though the pub was actually closed and the doors were shut at the time. And everyone took off. We have some video, but it’s not very good,” Lt. Wilkens continued.
In an online video, Quavo, real name Quavious Keyate Marshall, is shown attempting to move Takeoff while pleading for assistance and hearing “no.” He is wearing an orange T-shirt.

Who Was Rapper Takeoff?
Kirshnik Khari Ball, a rapper better known by his stage name Takeoff, lived from June 18, 1994, to November 1, 2022.
Along with his uncle Quavo and cousin Offset, he is well-known for being a founding member of the hip-hop group Migos, whose 2013 track “Versace” peaked at number 99 on the Billboard Hot 100 list.
He started creating rhythms and beats when he was in seventh school, but he didn’t start creating commercial music until 2011.
